The Ho-Ho-Kus Community Garden is a beautiful space for neighbors to come together for a common good—to raise fresh, organically grown vegetables for those in need. Crops are grown from early spring through late fall. In our first year (2024), the garden produced 763.2 lbs of organically grown vegetables. Of that total, 60lbs were shared with our community at two farm stands, and the remaining 703 lbs were donated to Oasis: A Haven for Women and Children and Ridgewood Social Services.Â
The Ho-Ho-Kus School Garden has 10 raised cedar beds with 320 square feet of growing space. In its first year, this garden produced 494 pounds of organic veggies. The school's environmental club is now maintaining the garden.
